PALCOYO MOUNTAIN TOUR ITINERARY

Unlike everyone, we will pick you up at your hotel around 07 a.m. to start this incredible Afternoon Palcoyo Mountain Tour. We calmly drive around 3.5 hours towards the trailhead, where the starting point of the hike is.

Beginning at 4.700 m.a.s.l, heading to the top walking- one can see a truly impressive view of a glacier. We will coordinate with locals so they will provide us very nice and frendly alpacas to walk will.  At the very top, you will find yourself at 4,900 m.a.s.l, and a colorful view of the andes that you will never, ever, forget we will have around 30 – 40 minutes in the top. 

While you enjoy the amazing views, our guide will offer you a nice hot coca tea. The advantage of doing the Palcoyo Mountain Tour with us it is that you will be the only ones at the top, no one else will be there since big groups goes very early, and for the time that we arrive everyone is gone.

When we are back in the van, we go back to Cusipata town to have a delicius self service buffet lunch with vegetarian options, after Lunch we will go stright  to Cusco city and drop you off at your hotel.

Please keep these recommendations in mind for the tour

• Passport or ID document (Very important)
• Hat or cap for sun protection: Very important for the hike, the radiation is strong.
• Sunglasses: Highly recommended.
• Sunscreen: The radiation is stronger in the mountains, use sunscreen every day.
• Waterproof or windproof jacket (the lighter, the better)
• Gloves: Especially for when you are at the viewpoints or on the mountains, because it is very windy there. cold.
• Water bottle or CAMELBAK.  Twice the amount of water you normally drink.
• Shoes with good grip: If you have trekking boots, even better.
• Personal medications: Don't forget to bring your personal medications, especially those you take daily.

Weather

The weather in Cusco is unpredictable. The dry season in Cusco runs from April to October, but this doesn't mean it can't rain in June or shine in December; simply be prepared for any weather.

Be sure to pack appropriate clothing, including a waterproof jacket, trousers, poncho, and waterproof gloves.

Also, be prepared for cold and windy conditions.
